The B Street Arts Hub

Located at the corner of Bathurst and Dupont, The B Street Arts Hub is a creative headquarters for Toronto artists, operated in partnership between B Street Collaborative and The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA).

About the space

The mission of The B Street Arts Hub is to empower artists by providing the space and resources they need to thrive at affordable prices.

The arts hub was conceived of by B Street Collaborative founder Heather Jessiman, designed by architectural firm SVN, built by Vaughan Build LTD, with creative direction by Jennifer Cranston and Art curated by Mia Nielsen. The space is home to both B Street Collaborative and TAPA, who operate the facility day-to-day.

This accessible facility provides artists with inspiring, affordable creative workspaces, including a rehearsal hall, a green room, a self-tape studio, a recording studio, a mentorship studio, and a boardroom.

The Arts Hub also offers community spaces, including The Jon Kaplan Community Lounge, The Jon Kaplan Lending Library (featuring hundreds of scripts from the beloved theatre reviewer’s collection), and two private video conferencing rooms

The aesthetic intention of The B Street Arts Hub is to offer a work environment that is beautiful, clean, and minimalist, allowing artists the most direct access to their creative and imaginative impulses.

The visual art collection displayed throughout the space has been curated to celebrate the interplay of the performing and visual arts, providing a continuous, modern, and inspirational feel.
